I'm delighted you have taken the time to visit the school website. We hope you will find our website easy to use and that, after visiting, you will clearly understand what we have to offer.

The Kerugoya Good Shepherd’s Academy provides an outstanding setting for learners from various backgrounds to advance their educations, get involved, and have a significant educational experience. I sincerely believe that an educational institution should focus on character development, mind enrichment, and lifelong learning opportunities. Our goal is to create an environment where learning will exceed books, go over and above instructions, and learning career options, becoming more than just a set of rules to follow.

Based on the evolving Kenyan curriculum, we have the 8-4-4system which is being faced out and the Competence based curricular (CBC) whose execution and adaptation has begun in earnest. Also, our Pre-school consist of three classes: Baby class, Pre-primary one (pp1) and pre-primary two (pp2). Significantly, owing to the school’s progressive outlook with intellectual rigour, the academic performance has been outstandingly good throughout Kirinyaga and beyond. Significantly, the school is renowned for its culture of producing academic giants in national examinations, in particular KCPE.

On the other hand, the extra-curricular activities are varied, enriching and exciting, where students learn new skills and make life-changing interactions; as they get enthused they realize their full potential and learn to appreciate teamwork. Students see themselves increasingly getting involved in visual and performing arts, in debates and sports. A good example being Joseph Wanjau, who not only topped the county in the KCPE but also wrote a novel (Billy in the Robotic Universe) to completion and had it published successfully at the age of 14. Here, a sound foundation of critical thinking and articulating is laid in an environment that encourages curiosity and discovery.
